Silver adds extra sparkle to any home....until it tarnishes...then it just brings everything down. My silver was in a pretty sad state until I polished it this weekend. It's really easy and I wanted to share with you. This whole process literally took me 15 mins. This is where I ended....
...and this is where I started tarnished and caked with candle wax.
Here is how I got that sparkle.
To get the wax off run under hot water, this will soften the wax and make it easier to wipe off.
Use a silver cream. Some people think that toothpaste or baking soda will work. I have tried both of those things, but silver polish is always the best. I have never gotten a brilliant shine using toothpaste or baking soda.I picked up this silver polish at Wal-Mart for around $5.00.
Just follow the instructions on that label!
Just rub on the paste and buff it off with a soft cloth.
"Before" and "After". The one to the left is the before the one on the right is how it looks after polishing and buffing!
Silver is adds so much beauty. It does need some attention in order to keep it's shine, but the final result is well worth it.
Ha...as you can see the silver is so shiny now you can see my reflection as I was trying to get out the shot.
Those lovely white roses you see are a Valentine's Day gift from my husband. I love the freshness of white flowers, he knows this, and that is why he buys them for me to often. Thank you, honey! They look great with the candle sticks!
I always love to hear from you, so use the comments section to drop a line!
